Operational Leadership, Performance Measurement and Data Visualization, Communicating the Value of Operations, Managing for Safety, Advanced Operations Techniques, TSMO Program Planning, Customer Service, and Workforce Development; Formal classroom training consists of the following topics: (1) Operational Leadership, (2) Performance Measurement and Data Visualization, (3) Communicating the Value of Operations, (4) Managing for Safety, (5) Advanced Operations Techniques, (6) TSMO Program Planning, (7) Customer Service, and (8) Workforce Development. Speakers are invited to present on topics such as: Facilitating Goods Movement through Operations, Connected/Automated Vehicles, Smart Cities, Mobil Devices and How they Impact Traveler Information, and Privatization Initiatives. Workshops include two group exercises, with specific roles assigned to each participant. Participants will address difficult TSMO challenges, and propose solutions based on the principles provided during the classroom training. Solutions will be presented to fill participants during the two-week program.
